(This and that)

Highlights of the week!

On Monday, as I was feeling eeky about work, I decided to google on how to have an awesome start of the week. Google is amazing. I found two tips to help me start my work week right. I'm gonna try them!

Tuesday: dinner with sis at ambush! And I finally bought bourgeois Paris healthy mix foundation to try! Love the texture and smell =D

I was so happy to receive my insta-package on Wednesday. Inspired by ABM, I decided to do a Instagram wall art for January's DIY project. I'm going to create one using all the Insta photos I captured during our wedding process. And I ordered the prints through pixaRoll. Can't wait to finish this project!

Had my haircut on Friday! Now I have bangs!

And I had the most amazing date with hubba on Saturday. We visited the new S.E.A. Aquarium at RWS. Awesome placed filled with so much underwater wonder. We were greeted by so many types of fish, some of which we saw at Maldives. And we saw Mantas! Gotta admire those graceful creatures.

Favourite Sunday moment? Playing UNO and getting owned by my sister haha. We were reminiscing about our childhood days and laughing about them. So grateful for sister time.

My favorite? It has gotta be the picture of sherie! She looks so adorable and her eyes look so kind. *heart melts*

(DIY) Instagram wall art

I've been thinking about potential DIY projects to work on this year. This is part of my overall goal to complete 1 project per month. Sounds easy but I think it's pretty challenging! I need to dedicate more time to think of good ideas and actually realize them.

A beautiful Mess blog has inspired me do try out a few of their brilliant ideas. One of them is an Instagram photo wall art! Here's a picture of what they did. So amazing!

I'm inspired to do one using the Instagram photos that I captured during our entire wedding process. I'm gonna give it a theme 'Ever ours'. That kinda just popped into my head and I think it's wonderful =D gonna get the photos printed to start on the project. Excited!

The chef diaries of G & S

One of my goals for our marriage this year is to experiment cooking together. We'll be moving to our new place in the near future so it's important for us to know how to cook!

To be specific, I'm planning for us to cook at least once a week. Preferably every Sunday when there's more spare time.

Being all excited, I started collating a list of recipes and simple dishes for us to try!

And for this one, I decided to start with a pasta dish! The signature campbell pasta with mushroom and ham. We also whipped up some stir fried mixed herb chicken which was slightly bland but still yummy! Here are some pictures!

Our Maldivian honeymoon.

It's been a week since we got back from the Maldives! If only we're still there! It's a paradise. I've never seen such beautiful and clear waters in my life. We only wished for bluer skies because they got gloomy at times.

We stayed at Club Med Kani. An island on its own near the Indian Ocean. We had the pleasure of staying at the beach facing suite, with a huge open toilet, four post bed and sun deck. Right in front of our suite was the beach, where we could wade far out into the waters. It was amazing. And to our right, we could see the ocean lagoon villas! Pity we couldn't stay in one of those!

Anyways, our honeymoon was sooo relaxing. We spent the days eating, snorkeling, sleeping, reading and repeating the cycle hee. We had SO much food since it was always buffet for all our meals. The spread was always pretty good and I had so much yummy and fatty cheese to eat.

Snorkeling was amaaaaazing. We could even snorkel at our beach and see all sorts of colourful fish. We saw baby sharks, stingray, eels, super cool flying fish, jellyfish, many types of parrot fish, Banner fish, fish with long snouts, spikey slugs. We saw alot more during our snorkeling trips outside of clubmed! It was another world beneath the waters. And one key highlight was us spotting a group of orcas or killer whales swimming by when we were on the speedboat. It was purely exciting.

Here are some of my favourite pics!

Hello 2013!

It's 2013! Woohoo! New year, new beginnings. And of course, not forgetting new resolutions!

Before I share this year's resolutions, let's take a look at last year's!

(2012 Resolutions)

1. Have a happy, blissful marriage.
Verdict - Happy to say that I've achieved this one!

2. Find a new passion in life.
Verdict - During wedding planning, I developed a love for DIY decor! Both wedding and home. I hope to continue this!

3. Spend more quality time with family and friends
Verdict - I spent more time with my family, yes. And took more photos with them =) But I think I can do better!

4. Exercise 3 times a week
Verdict - Nope! Not this one. I only managed to exercise 2 times a week. But I'm proud to say that I started body attack!
