Gerald and I had the most productive day today. And we had loads of fun! We wanted to visit Bras brasah complex to get my checkered skirt for our photoshoot. In the end we accomplished so much more!
Bras brasah complex is a haven for book and craft lovers. We visited so many rustic, second hand bookstores which were filled with so many rare finds. The place has so many art and craft shops which offered so many different choices.
Gerald found good school materials and I found my favourite mini wooden easel stands. Our best find? The Art Friend store! It had sooo many things that we could use for our wedding! Our prewedding chalkboard and woody heart shaped photo prop, alphabetical stencils, great craft paper and wooden boards that can be use to label our tables. Awesome place! I was so happy rummaging through all their goodies!
We also collected his suit today! At first we thought the suit looked kinda dull hanging at the tailor's but it turned out looking pretty darn good on him! His suit is amazingly quirky and it looks great on him since he has really broad shoulders. Just need to get him a matching bow or normal tie and he's all set!
And that's not all! We managed to get his suspenders and my ribbon tie for our photoshoot as well. Gotta love Bugis... It has everything!
We 'killed so many stones' in just one day! Whilst I'm feeling really tired from all the shopping, it was a really fruitful day. We had lots of fun together... And Gerald made me laugh so much 'shuffling' along randomly in public.

Wedding bands - Checked!
Gerald and I just picked out our wedding bands from vivo diamond. It was a super fun experience! Didn't think we would pick our bands out so fast but we were pretty convinced hehe.
We were asked to choose and select
wedding bands separately... without asking the other whether it was nice. We were told this was to ensure that we like the bands we would end up with... Without being influenced by the other's opinions.
After trying so many rings, I ended up shortlisting only 3 bands and Gerald chose 5! And we found out that only one pair was matching! And that was -the- pair. The pair we both liked.
I found it amazing how we managed to find something that was 'us'. This process made me realize how a wedding should be... Made up of meaningful decisions and personal touches that reflect us as who we really are as a couple. The rings that we chose may not be our favorites... But they're a set which both of us we like. We were willing to give up choosing separate rings which we loved and come to a compromise. That's what love it really is. About making compromises.
This entire experience has been rather special I must say. Gerald was very pleased with the bands and the price. And while I liked my band, I eventually said yes because I wanted to make him happy too!

Everyday sights
I've been enjoying my walk down this path every morning. Listening to the wonderful singing of birds, enjoying the peace and tranquility of my neighborhood.

Capturing snapshots
It's been a pretty relaxing Sunday. I woke up late this morning after singing sooo much karaoke last night. Yesterday, my sister and I had so much fun learning so many new songs, one of which we sang over and over! It feels therapeutic to sing your lungs out.
What made me happy this morning was my Mcdonalds breakfast. Mm! Mcgriddles totally rock! Ta-da.
I was looking at some honeymoon destinations thereafter. I really have no idea where we should go! Maldives, Boracay? Or maybe Korea or Koh Samui? Think we gotta really book soon before it becomes too expensive. Ahhh. So many things to do! I actually want somewhere relaxing and peaceful... But not too boring, with at least a few interesting sights to check out. I'm just afraid Maldives and Boracay might fall into the 'oh man another day at the beach' category. Decisions decisions. Just have to wait for my baby to be back!
Checked out Ramen Play with sis today. I like the decor! And the waiters were dressed up in cool suspenders and hats. Seems like they paid quite a bit of attention on the styling of the entire concept. And I like how they tell a lil story when describing their food items... Captivates my attention and makes me wanna order them to try. Details really do matter eh.
Spent a bit of time at Yai's place sorting out her clothes. It's amazing how she has SO many dresses! Managed to kope a few pieces of clothing from her muaha. And I picked up the checkered school skirt she was telling me about! Very pretty and fitting for my NUS photoshoot! Just need to get another to get it altered. Hope I have time for this! Gonna get a pink bow or tie + knee length socks to pull off the entire look. Yay!
Now I'm just feeling tired from today. *yawn*

Flowers flowers!
I met my wedding florist to select my prewedding bouquet this morning.
Before this, I've been spending some time looking for the type of flowers I like. It's been pretty fun trying to figure it out... Discovering personal preferences I never knew before. I come to realize that I really adore garden-picked type of flowers! Not the usual, neatly bundled type of bouquet. Such bouquets still look nice of course (you can't really go wrong with flowers) but just not very me. I just love things closer to nature I suppose :) For instance, if I had a choice and if I could, I'd put a real tree at my wedding venue! Haha.
Anyway I'm happy that I'll be getting a bouquet similar to what I like. I really hope it ends up gorgeous for my shoot!
Here are my finds! My actual bouquet will probably look like the 2nd one! I hope it has slightly darker leave though. For some reason, looks
more 'foresty' to me if that makes sense hehe.

Busy busy!
The past 2 days have been rather overwhelming and stressful. Been feeling uncertain about what I'm doing and that I'm unable to meet the expectations set for me. Starting to think this may not be for me.
I must really think about what I need to do sigh. And how I must overcome my unwillingness to do what is required.
I'll give myself some time to figure it out. Maybe it's normal to feel like that when you're challenged. I gotta encourage myself!
On a lighter note, Gerald's back! Just had dinner with him at this awesome Indian restaurant at east coast road.
