Our surreal photoshoot!

Our first outdoor photoshoot is over! The entire experience was very surreal and time passed super quickly.

We had a hard time waking up this morning since our guineas were making alot of noises the while night! Lolent, our MUA, was very punctual and everything went smoothly for our make up and hair dos. I pretty much had the same look as before for the shoot! Natural make up with a slightly poofy updo. Gerald had some make up on too haha.

CF picked us up as planned and we started our journey to Kent Ridge! Picked up some starbucks along the way to perk us up and funny enough, our drinks were used as props too.

We were greeted with gorgeous sunlight when we arrived but the sun kept playing hide and seek with us when we began shooting. We had to wait for it to emerge from the clouds several times! We're just really thankful it didn't rain.

Our guineas were stars for the day. We included them in most of our Kent Ridge shots and this couldn't have been possible without the help of our planner Wei wei and her assistant, Ying ying. Not only were they helping us to carry stuff, keep us cool (by fanning us with a cardboard haha), wipe our perspiration, buy us drinks, help me change...they also did us a great favour by chasing blinkie and woolly and making sure they stood in position for our shots (oddly, our guineas were super fidgety today) Definitely wasn't easy! Two of them are really super nice peeps!

We moved on to NUS and took more shots at LT11... Central library and the foyer! Gerald and I actually faced some difficulties doing some funny, extraordinary shots... Like me slapping him with the lollipop, us running in front of the central library... Me dropping books. Hard to look natural doing all this! Just glad we still managed to get other shots instead!

We actually made quite a bit of noise in the central library... Thank goodness we weren't chased out! Noone reported that we brought our guineas in either... Phew!

Both of us are really quite exhausted from the shoot but I guess all the walking, smiling, sweating, posing is just a small price to pay to show both of us as a couple. Can't wait to see the actual photos when they're ready.

Now we just gotta rest up and get prepared for round 2 in bintan!

Some photos for the day!

Ta-da! Make up and hair for this exciting day! Almost sounds like my actual wedding hehe

Doing some test shots to find the right angle!

Excited about tomorrow!

Photoshoot tomorrow! Ahhh! Can't wait. =D I hope my excitement's not gonna keep me awake since I gotta wake up at 3.45 am.

Guess who's bunking in with us tonight! The two guineas are still trying to get used to my room... They're making a whole lot of noises. And they're definitely traumatized by Gerald's 'kryptonite' light, bubble stick!

We're gonna go shoot at Kent Ridge and NUS tomorrow! Praying for good weather and nice, warm sunlight. *crosses fingers*

Here are some snapshots!
I simply adore my pink wedding gown

Gerald bought this prop for our wedding... he didn't really know what it is haha.

Bridal nails!

Just did my wedding nails at LadyFinger! Whee. Now I have nice french manicured fingernails and classic toenails. *bimbo moment*

It was my first time doing the gel nail treatment. Apparently, it makes your nail colour and shine last a lot longer... Up to a month or so! It utilizes this cool gel UV light technology which allows your nail polish/art to dry thoroughly and almost instantaneously. Now I don't have to worry about smudging and ruining my nails anymore. Super awesome man!

I was sold by the entire experience and benefits. So much so that I signed up for a package without really thinking much and making any comparison with other packages. There goes $770 bucks! I'll just view this as a worthy investment. After all, I can share this package with family and friends. Pedi and mani sessions make good gifts yes? Haha. Sounds like I'm trying to justify my impulse purchase!

Sneak peek of my nails!

Market Galore

The typical Singaporean market is a lively place. Especially on a sunday morning, when everyone's rushing to get their groceries for the week!

There are so many interesting moments and details to capture there. Here's a few...

Saturday Group Therapy =)

This afternoon was busy busy busy! Gerald and I did some last minute shopping for this Tuesday's prewedding photoshoot. We realized we were missing a couple of things after doing up a checklist.

We managed to get all that we needed - Big swirl Lollipop from Sticky, Gerald's grey and pink tie from G2000, my knee length stockings and nerdy spectacles! =D Both of us were really tired searching for our finds. We combed quite a few places in bishan and town just looking for Gerald's elusive tie. Thank goodness our search was fruitful!

Can't believe our PS is in two days! I'm feeling really excited yet worried at the same time. Hope we'll have loads of crazy fun and that our photos will turn out nice!

Met up with lynnie and xuanie for Korean BBQ dinner and drinks + dessert at Group Therapy @ Duxton. The former is nothing to shout about but Group Therapy is awesome! Super comfy place that's great for friends to nua together. Gonna come here again!

Happy birthday baby!

Celebrated Gigi's birthday at this reaally nice and chill place at Alexandra, called Hosted on the patio. It's tucked away in a quiet low-rise office estate, surrounded by trees.

I love the concept. Very laid back, clean and spacious. The decor is slightly nature-inspired, with splashes of light green and motifs of birds on their walls and menus. They even have decorative bird cages hanging on their tree and ceilings!

Really glad I brought him there. The crab salad and pastas we had there were yummy so no complaints about the food. The chocolate fondant could have been better though!

Time for some pictures!

Check!

Hair dyed for wedding photoshoot next week? Yuuuup! Just spent 3 hours at my mum's hairdresser's dyeing and highlighting my hair. It looks darker than before but my reddish brown highlights brightens the entire look. Hope it gets a lil lighter over time!

Can't believe our first shoot is in one week's time! I'm not even sure if there's anything special that I gotta do now haha. Not a very hardworking bride eh!

Anyways, Gerald did the sweetest thing today. He did up 2 save the dates for our wedding... Mostly from scratch! I think it's super adorable of him. Here are the snapshots! His drawings always makes me happy.

It's gonna be his birthday in an hour's time. Can't wait to pass him his pressies and bring him out for a romantic meal!
