The past two weeks have been really hectic for me. Mostly due to work. We've been so caught up with strategic workshops and planning our 3rd management retreat. Loads of intensive reflection, discussions and preparatory work. It's been a draining yet fruitful experience. I guess it's good to feel stretched and challenged once in a while. It keeps you on your toes. It keeps you learning.
Whilst work has gone into overdrive, I must admit however, that my personal life has taken a backseat. I find myself exercising less, eating less healthy and doing less DIY projects. I've been chatting less with my girls, behaving more withdrawn. I always seem to sacrifice certain things when work becomes busy. It's something that I must learn to manage better. I don't want to compromise on my quality of life.
On a lighter note, here are some pics capturing the week's highlights!
And oh! I've been obsessed with watching cooking videos (gordon ramsay, jamie oliver etc) this past two weeks. I guess it helps me distress!

Ohh happy day.
Here's a peek at all the amazing food I had this week. Mmm.
Yup! Still motivated to eat healthy and prepare my own meals!
This Saturday, I finally checked out Canopy garden dining (bishan park) with sis. Very quiet and chill out place. Perfect for lazing on a Saturday afternoon. Food's alrighty! We had their duck salad and wagyu burger (which I love). Their interior's a lil rundown and messy though. Could be better! I can't wait to visit their neighbor Cornerstone. Apparently, the place has a pretty decent brunch menu. Yay!
And today, after a long time, I went to Sentosa with the girls! We were lounging at Tanjong beach for a lil until the rain came =( I remember those days when we we used to hangout and tan at Sentosa -alot-. It was like a ritual! Maybe age has caught up with us... Baking under the sun (on beach towel, not lounger) isn't so fun anymore. I was actually quite glad to move to Tanjong beach club for brunch when it started pouring! Anyways, it was still nice hanging out together, looking at dogs and stoning.

Spring is here!
I love spring.
Spring is always about new beginnings, great weather, blooming flowers and bright happy colours.
I remember how wonderful spring used to be in Sweden. The sky was always so clear and teal. The air fresh and crisp. There were wild flowers growing -everywhere-. The trees would start to be green again. People would sit in the town square and on grass patches, taking in the sun. Eating ice cream, picnicking. It was truly delightful.
I guess it's not quite the same here in Singapore. But I'm still happy spring time is here because I see the colours and floral prints I love for fashion! Corals, orange, pinks, pastel yellow, teal, whites and nudes! Makes me soooo exhilarated! I just feel like wearing these spring time colours.
Anyways, today I was inspired to create three looks with my hot pink dress. Kudos goes to fashion stylist Chriselle lim for inspiring me! I love how she emphasizes the importance of basics, layering and accessorizing to create different looks. Here's my attempt today!

Relaxing Sunday!
I didn't do much today but it felt great! G and I stayed home and basically just slacked around. It was niceeeee. Been a while since we've done this.
I guess sometimes, we all need a break. Some time to rest and do nothing. To recharge and get ready for the new week! To lie in bed and ponder about the most random of things. =)
Well, apart from relaxing, I did something worth mentioning! Feeling inspired, I prepared fruits and dinner for the both of us today! And dinner was definitely a success. Made baked teriyaki chicken with mashed potatoes. It was super yum. Accomplished!

(Eating clean)
So this week, my quest to eating clean continues. I'm determined to have more fruits and healthy food for my meals!
I want to help G eat more healthily as well. That's why I decided to wake up slightly earlier every morning, to make him breakfast. It can get tiring but I hope I'm disciplined enough to keep up with it!
Captured quite a few snapshots of this week's highlights!
Can't wait to try out more!

(2nd March Repost)
This week, I've been so inspired to have really healthy and nutritious breakfasts! Yogurts, cereal, oatmeal and fruits (especially blueberries) have been my recent obsession! They're great and clean foods packed with all the good calcium, vitamins and anti oxidants that we need.
There are so many great breakfast ideas on Instagram via #healthybreakfast. And I love how some are so wonderfully styled to look so pretty, vibrant and yummy!
I had the opportunity to visit Eco mall Star vista and chill at Dr cafe with my Happiness project book. It was soooo therapeutic. Cosy couch + vanilla latte + quietness + breeze = Pure bliss and rest for the mind. I love such moments!
On Wednesday, brought mum for 126 dim sum lunch! It was her first time there and we had such an awesome time pigging out. Totally miss hanging out with mum.
And Friday was great because G and I went for our movie date night =D He missed MTG so that we could spend some time together before my detox camp on Sunday. And I was so happy he stayed over! Gonna miss him for the next few days.
I'm at my first detox camp right now! No food and little drink for the next few days. Let's see how I can survive. *fighting!*

Survived Detox camp!
Helloooo!
I was on a detox camp from 2nd March till 1pm today. 60 hours of fasting and I survived! Woohoo!
It was truly an experience. I never knew I could survive without food for so long. And I never realized the benefits of fasting. Basically, fasting allows your body to go into a state of self healing. All your energy will be channeled to repair areas that are weak or congested with toxins.
During the camp, many of us displayed all types of symptoms due to the differences in our body conditions. Some had really bad headaches and headaches. Whilst others experienced diarrhea and vomiting. For me, I suffered from exhaustion, sore legs and a racing heart on the second day. These were all signs that our body was undergoing major repair. We all felt much better today after two days of resting.
We broke fast this morning and had juice + fruits + yogurt to eat. Our first sip of juice was sooooooo amazing. It was sooo sweet and refreshing! Immediately after breakfast, my body went into detox mode and I had to go to the toilet lol. I felt so good thereafter.
During the camp, all of us were taught to introduce more juices and fruits into our diet. We gotta have them before an actual meal in order for us to absorb the important nutrients. I'm so motivated to have more fruits for good health!
And I actually can't wait for the next detox camp! Bring it on!
