Happy labour day!

Yesterday, I brought Gerald to try a new cafe which I had been meaning to check out. Deli Door is located at the Ang mo kio Ave 10 heartlands, right beside the famous Pine Garden cake shop. It's actually a new concept by the Pine Garden business owner.

I love the exterior of the cafe. It resembles a cozy, suburban cottage on the outside, looking very inviting. It's the design which actually piqued my interest. The cafe operates on a self-service manner very similar to Ikea's, with stations to pick up your drinks, dessert and main courses. It serves mainly local dishes which can be found at your average coffee shop. Gerald and I were not very impressed with their food and he was feeling quite claustrophobic in the cramped cafe area. We find it interesting for the first visit... but we don't think we will visit the place again.

I need to find a better place next time! The Don personal pie club definitely owns this joint.

Today is labour day! A day to take a break from the dulls of working life. I welcome such holidays all the time!

I spent most of my day pigging out with my sister. In a span of 7 hours, we visited and ate at 3 separate dining places. Such much for dieting for my wedding! I just can't resist the temptation of eating... the joy of tasting glorious good food. Mmm. Besides, there wasn't much to do but eat. Shopping centres can be so boring!

But of course, we had a good time together, chatting about random things. She was telling me how Don don was calling her to go home, since a thunderstorm was arriving. It's just sooo sweet coming from a six year old. It must feel nice to have your kids tell you they miss you and have that strong bond with them.

Before I forget, I shall end of my post with a kind reminder to myself:

Remember to do something you love everyday. If not, at least do something which makes you smile =)
