Early this week, I finally used my Philips clothes steamer and it's super awesome! So easy to use and fuss free. Every girl should have one! No more wrinkly clothes! =D
To practise our culinary skills, G and I cooked again! The same pesto pasta with sausage which was so simple to make. Thumbs up for easy (lazy) recipes!
Not so nice highlight? I fell sick! Ahhhh. Most of my Saturday was spent resting at Nim's and tampines. Thank goodness for wholesome yummy food back at home and a lil visit to Ikea for dinner. I was looking out for potential furniture for our future humble abode!
Let me share two new obsessions that I just recently developed:
1. Coral handbag
(inspired by fashion Blogger Chriselle lim)
2. Kiwis, blueberries and strawberries! (Great healthy treats for meals)
I crave for them so!

Laugh and love.
I love living with my hubba G. Being the crazy and random person that he is, he makes me laugh all the time. And he does the smallest things (insignificant to some) that makes me happy.
Just this Monday, I decided to give G a scare when he was entering our room. I hid beneath our clothes rack so that he couldn't see me. And when he opened the door and realized I wasn't in bed, I jumped at him *evil grin*. He shrieked (not shouted) almost like a girl and had the most shocked expression on his face. It was hilarious! The both of us laughed so hard and couldn't stop. It was just one of those moments.
And later that week, G tried to learn some Cantonese phrases from me. His attempts and pronunciation (which sounded more hokkien really) were so funny I almost died laughing. I have a truly amazing hubba with the ability to make anything hilarious. So blessed to have him!
When I fell sick and he blew dry my hair, I felt really taken care of. =) He the best!

Lovely creations.
I'm happy to share my highlights of the week! I'm glad to have the discipline to take everyday photos because they really help me remember alot better.
Early last week, Gerald's relatives came over for CNY celebrations. To add to our spread of food, G and I cooked pasta with M&S tomato and mascarpone sauce. It was soo good! Everyone enjoyed it. And we decorated a Sara Lee cheesecake with fresh strawberries. Pretty!
And because Valentine's was coming, I did my DIY gift decorating! My supplies: Colourful Hershey kisses, brown paper and free printable Vday tags I got off the web. Really happy with my final product! It took me a while to figure out how to wrap the kisses nicely.
On V day itself, G and I celebrated with a simple dinner at Eggs and Berries. Finally an all day brunch place in the East! The food was alright but I thought the ambience of the place could have been better. I like to have brunch in a more cosy and laid back cafe atmosphere, with woodsy furniture and green decor. If only the place is like that! Anyways, one thing they did right! Giving us a sweet stalk of rosé and yummy homemade jam! Really nice touch!
I feel like I've been feasting too much this week! In need of a detox! Check out all the yummy pictures below!
And speaking of food, G and I cooked again today! We made pesto pasta, stir fried teriyaki chicken and grilled salmon! Every dish was a success although our chicken kinda turned out overcooked haha.

Happy Chinese New Year!
Today's the first day of the Lunar New Year! Gong Xi Fa Cai!
This Chinese New Year has been extra special for G and me. It's our first time celebrating as husband and wife! This meant two new things for us. Firstly, I joined in the reunion dinner with the Pangs and we actually played mahjong till past midnight! Secondly, it was our first time giving out Ang baos! Thank goodness it wasn't that hard to plan and organize the red packets =D
G and I also did a bit of DIY decorating for this CNY. Not for our home, but for his boys at school haha. Inspired by what I saw at mum's, I helped G to make a few Snakes using red packets. It was so much fun to do!
Back to today, I was soo happy and glad to be back home for lunch! To see mama, mummy, daddy, boy, sis and all my aunts + uncles + cousins. And Sherie! Felt a great sense of familiarity and closeness that was so comforting. I guess this is what you call family bonds. Something that can never be taken away from you. I love my family soooo much! The lunch really felt like a reunion to me. I felt at home!
Dinner was at tampines home! G helped mum to cook veggies and prawns for dinner. I'm proud to say that my hubba succeeded in his attempts! The dishes turned out pretty awesome! Dad's side relatives visited so we were busy preparing food and entertaining.
It's been a tiring but festive day! Here are some snapshots!
