We took it really easy today! Went back to the places we love.
1. Our wonderful breakfast was at Ediya Coffee Myeongdong. We saw this place yesterday and wanted to try their sweet potato latte cause it sounded so special! So we did! Popped by in the morning when there was noone. Whole cafe to ourselves. The latte turned out tasting like horlicks lol.
2. Lunch was at the Bochun restaurant nearby. We had the chicken + vermicelli + potato dish which came in an enormous portion! It was no joke. The dish was really tasty and we were soooo full.
3. We decided to go back to Ewha woman's university since we like the place so much. Just walked along the streets and did a lil more shopping! Bought my brother's clothes there so that was fruitful =) Oh we had the most eeky, artificial bubble tea there. It was baaaaaaad. Only bad drink I've tried in Seoul.
4. Today, I began to miss the cherry blossoms we saw the first day. So we decided to go back to Namsan to snap more photos. To our slight disappointment, most of the Sakura have fallen, leaving only a few trees full of the pretty pink flowers. Well, at least we saw some! We still had a pretty nice, cooling stroll at the Namsan park.
5. Our bus from Namsan park passed by Namdaemun so we dropped by to take a look. It's basically a very Pasar
Malam kind of place with cheap things to buy. Our highlight here was our hearty dinner: Korean pig trotters + sundae soup + Naenmyeon (totally refreshing and yummy) which left us feeling sooo full. Thank goodness for the long walk back to our hotel.

Day 3 at Seoul!
I'm kinda sad that our holiday is coming to an end really soon =( Just one more full day at Seoul and we'll be flying back on Wednesday! Wish we extended our trip -.-
Anyways, here's a summary of our third day at Seoul:
1. Brunch at BBQ chicken premium cafe, opposite Migilore at Myeongdong.
Korean fried chicken is supposed to be amazing. That's why we it's on our must-eat list for this trip. We're really glad we found this nice cosy cafe for brunch. We ordered a combo meal with fried chicken a huge portion of yummy salad. Omg, the chicken was sooooooo goooood. The outside skin was crispy and not overly done and the insides were tender and not oily. Even the chicken breasts were so delish!
2. Chilling at Paris Baguette with lattes + lil cakes.
PB has opened one store in Singapore and I haven't been to it. My first PB experience is actually in Seoul! Mum and I wanted to grab some lattes and chill for a bit after lunch. Nice to just sit down and enjoy the day for a bit. We enjoyed our green tea lattes and banana cakes very much!
3. More shopping at Myeongdong.
I know! We can really shop! I think we've walked almost the whole of MD. We chanced upon two really nice shops along the long street opposite of Krispy Kreme. I was soooo happy to find the bright blue bag that I wanted! I bought another classy black one as well. My gosh, I love the bags in Korea! They're so ippu (pretty), good quality and affordable. It's so difficult to find similar ones in Singapore.
And mum managed to find some nice clothing in the underground shopping mall. Yay for her! So happy she found some nice clothes!
Finally got all our Laneige cosmetics as well. Hope our baggage doesn't go overweight!
4. Visit to Lotte shopping center.
We popped over to this Seoul famous mall to check out the food stalls in the basement and the Supermarket! Not as amazing as those in Japan, but still pretty decent! Got yummy kimchi and instant noodles!
5. Chinese Dinner at Kai Hua ('open flower' based on direct translation).
We satisfied Mum's craving for the food here. The zhajiangmian, sweet sour pork and spicy seafood noodle soup were all so fantastic! Mmm.

Day 2 at Seoul!
Can't believe day 2 is about to be over!
Here are the best bits of today:
1. Moved to Ibis Myeongdong hotel!
It was just a short ride (we had a free shuttle service) from Ambassador hotel. The hotel is sooo conveniently located, just next to the Myeongdong streets. Yay to easy access to shopping and awesome street food. =D
2. Brekkie at Krispy Kreme. ^_^
I know! There's Krispy Kreme at Seoul! And so near to our hotel. Ooo my original glazed doughnuts. It was my mum's first time having these delicious delights and she loved it! She was really considering bringing home two boxes of these yummy things. Let's see if we have some luggage space left!
3. Lunch at the famous traditional bimbimbap place!
We chanced upon this restaurant which I read about on the web. Sooo lucky! Supposedly, this restaurant has been the first to serve bibibamp ages ago. We ordered bibibamp of course and a serving of ginseng chicken soup. The food was soooo good. No regrets here!
4. Ewha Woman's University.
I've read so many good things about this place. Many rave about it being the trendy place of Seoul, being so close to all the women students studying in the area. So glad we made the choice to come here! The grounds of the university are so beautiful. The place reminds me of Oxford university. Very peaceful and gorgeous. Mum and I couldn't help taking some photos around the area. Pretty flowers and trees everywhere =)
And there are really so many shops and cafes in front of the university. And I loveee the fashion sold here sooo much. Very feminine and chic! And the best part is most of their clothing is rather affordable, since they're mostly for the budget conscious students. Bought my favourite orange bag here and some other romantic tops. I must have spent a bomb -.- Anyways, we also tried some Sundae here (pork blood sausage) too! Another must eat checked off my list!
5. Bbq dinner!
We finally had BBQ beef ribs + pork = Soondoobu soup at a Korean restaurant near our hotel. We had the company of Magdalene's bf who was kind enough to drop off some things. Food was alright, satisfied our BBQ cravings!
6. Shopping at Dongdaemun.
We finally made our way to Dongdaemun and checked out both Doota + Migliore. They're both sooo different, Doota being so much higher end than the latter. We weren't really impressed with the clothes at both places, especially since Doota seemed too high end. Prefer Ewha Uni's shops so much more!

Day 1 at Seoul!
Today's our first day visiting Seoul!
The weather was perfect and not too cold. Great for sightseeing as tourists =D
Here are the main highlights:
1. Eating breakfast at Twosome cafe.
Apparently there aren't any Korean food breakfast joints around Ambassador hotel. So we took a 5 minute walk left of the hotel to CJ building. We were greeted with twosome cafe (I know it's a strange name right) and we decided to have brekkie there! Twosome's kinda like Starbucks but a Korean version. We had simple sandwiches and bagel and got some bread from the nice bakery beside.
2. Visiting Namsan Park and N Seoul tower.
This was the best part of the day. Why? Because we saw amazing Sakura trees in bloom! It was my first time seeing Sakura and it was an amazing, surreal experience. Imagine our delight when the breeze was scattering the beautiful Sakura petals all around us. It was unbelievable!
At the N Seoul tower, we saw the famous area where couples hang locks to wish for everlasting love. So sweet eh! Too bad Gerald wasn't with me! Reminds me of how we used to hang our wishes in the shrines of Japan. We also had a bird's eye view of Seoul city, though it was slightly foggy. Ended our Namsan visiting by taking the cable car (this was a really big one mind you) down.
3. Eating and shopping at Myeongdong.
We walked from the base of Namsan to Myeongdong since it was pretty near. I must say Myeongdong is sooo happening and entertaining. So many shops, eateries and peeeopple. It was crowded since it was a Saturday.
We ate and shopped so much there! For food, we ate at two famous places for lunch + dinner: Yoogane Dakgalbi for lunch and Myeongdong Koja for dinner. Thumbs up for the two places! So glad I did some research on what to eat.
For street food, we satisfied our cravings for fishcake, sausage with bread and crispy fish. We also had some nice Bingsu (ice shavings dessert) at this nice cafe called Green Station.
There were so many cosmetics shops around that we were spoilt for choice. We bought our best picks (thanks to earlier online googling) from Tony Moly, Innisfree and Missha and left the rest for the remaining trip.
And I had some really good clothing buys at a few small shops at Myeongdong. The clothes were all so affordable! I was honestly surprised. Most of my pieces were feminine and sweet ones which I really adore =D
Can't wait to see more tomorrow!

Recipe for happiness!
What makes a day good and happy? I've figured my own recipe for happiness.
Yesterday, I started thinking about this. And here's what I came up with:
1. Good, hearty breakfast
2. Awesome family bonding time
3. Intense bodycombat workout
4. Some grocery shopping and cooking =)
5. Date with the hubba, with good movie and good dinner!
That's what I had on Saturday and it was a great, great day.
And today, I realized Sundays are great days to stay in, do little, relax and recharge. And I love cooking wonderful brekkies on Sundays! Makes me feel contented and accomplished. Seeing my hubba enjoy his first meal is amazing.
Anyways, here are the highlights of my week!

The two joys!
Two things I've been enjoying recently:
(1. Getting inspired by clean eating and preparing healthy meals)
I've been getting lots of awesome ideas via Instagram on healthy breakfast options. And it makes me happy making brekkie everyday for G and I. Just a great way to start any day. I guess I feel like I'm really making a change to our eating habits.
And recently, I've been trying out new dishes for lunch/dinner as well! Lots of eggie ones actually! I've tried half boiled eggs, steamed eggs and poached eggs so far. ^_^ so fun to cook new things =D
(2. Following my favourite fashion bloggers on Instagram and YouTube. They always provide such great ideas on dressing chic)
Been loving Chriselle and Aimee Song! Their styles are amazing. They inspire me to define and enhance my own style =) I'm a romantic, classic!

Home is so awesome!
I just spent the greatest evening at Nim's! Feels good to come back and have dinner with mum. She was so sweet! She specially made claypot rice with yummy apple soup when she knew I was coming home for dinner. And I had loads of awesome fruits to start with! That's not all. Mum bought back some Lana cake (yes the famous Lana cake) for us to eat! *bliss*
And I loveeed spending time with my baby Sherie. Just hugging and tickling her made me feel so happy.

April's project - Eating healthy
I fell sick -again- last weekend. Another horrible throat infection. I was just down with this inflammation end February! I'm not sure if it's the super air-conditioning at my work desk or the crazy hot-cold weather we're experiencing. Or the recent work stress. It's just so frustrating! I think my body needs a break.
Anyways, given my frustration, I've decided to embark on a 'Eat healthy, Be healthy' project. This is my attempt to improve my overall health and well being, I'm sick of being sick!
To enhance my immune system, I'm going to:
1. Eat healthy breakfasts everyday. Think cereal, milk, oatmeal and fruits. I've started this in March actually but I'm gonna keep going!
2. Eat at least a serving of fruits or vegetables during lunch or dinner. I'm thinking of fruits packed with the most vitamins (kiwis, oranges, apples) and anti oxidants (blueberries, strawberries, grapes). For vegetables, broccoli, carrots and leafy greens. Bring it all on!
3. Eat more steamed, poached or boiled meals. Not that I'm dieting but food cooked these ways are usually less heaty!
4. Drink more fruit juices and less sweet drinks. This is gonna be tough I tell you. I love bubble tea and carbonated drinks!
