Day 2 at Seoul!

Can't believe day 2 is about to be over!

Here are the best bits of today:

1. Moved to Ibis Myeongdong hotel!

It was just a short ride (we had a free shuttle service) from Ambassador hotel. The hotel is sooo conveniently located, just next to the Myeongdong streets. Yay to easy access to shopping and awesome street food. =D

2. Brekkie at Krispy Kreme. ^_^

I know! There's Krispy Kreme at Seoul! And so near to our hotel. Ooo my original glazed doughnuts. It was my mum's first time having these delicious delights and she loved it! She was really considering bringing home two boxes of these yummy things. Let's see if we have some luggage space left!

3. Lunch at the famous traditional bimbimbap place!

We chanced upon this restaurant which I read about on the web. Sooo lucky! Supposedly, this restaurant has been the first to serve bibibamp ages ago. We ordered bibibamp of course and a serving of ginseng chicken soup. The food was soooo good. No regrets here!

4. Ewha Woman's University.

I've read so many good things about this place. Many rave about it being the trendy place of Seoul, being so close to all the women students studying in the area. So glad we made the choice to come here! The grounds of the university are so beautiful. The place reminds me of Oxford university. Very peaceful and gorgeous. Mum and I couldn't help taking some photos around the area. Pretty flowers and trees everywhere =)

And there are really so many shops and cafes in front of the university. And I loveee the fashion sold here sooo much. Very feminine and chic! And the best part is most of their clothing is rather affordable, since they're mostly for the budget conscious students. Bought my favourite orange bag here and some other romantic tops. I must have spent a bomb -.- Anyways, we also tried some Sundae here (pork blood sausage) too! Another must eat checked off my list!

5. Bbq dinner!

We finally had BBQ beef ribs + pork = Soondoobu soup at a Korean restaurant near our hotel. We had the company of Magdalene's bf who was kind enough to drop off some things. Food was alright, satisfied our BBQ cravings!

6. Shopping at Dongdaemun.

We finally made our way to Dongdaemun and checked out both Doota + Migliore. They're both sooo different, Doota being so much higher end than the latter. We weren't really impressed with the clothes at both places, especially since Doota seemed too high end. Prefer Ewha Uni's shops so much more!
