April's project - Eating healthy

I fell sick -again- last weekend. Another horrible throat infection. I was just down with this inflammation end February! I'm not sure if it's the super air-conditioning at my work desk or the crazy hot-cold weather we're experiencing. Or the recent work stress. It's just so frustrating! I think my body needs a break.

Anyways, given my frustration, I've decided to embark on a 'Eat healthy, Be healthy' project. This is my attempt to improve my overall health and well being, I'm sick of being sick!

To enhance my immune system, I'm going to:

1. Eat healthy breakfasts everyday. Think cereal, milk, oatmeal and fruits. I've started this in March actually but I'm gonna keep going!

2. Eat at least a serving of fruits or vegetables during lunch or dinner. I'm thinking of fruits packed with the most vitamins (kiwis, oranges, apples) and anti oxidants (blueberries, strawberries, grapes). For vegetables, broccoli, carrots and leafy greens. Bring it all on!

3. Eat more steamed, poached or boiled meals. Not that I'm dieting but food cooked these ways are usually less heaty!

4. Drink more fruit juices and less sweet drinks. This is gonna be tough I tell you. I love bubble tea and carbonated drinks!
